National LGBTI Health Alliance NT roundtable

April 20, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

In what appears to be a first of its kind, the National LGBTI Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Strategy has been developed to systematically address the dramatic over-representation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex people in measures of suicidality and mental ill-health.

This strategy offers a broad and practical framework that will support nation-wide efforts to reduce the high incidence of suicide, suicidality, and mental illness amongst LGBTI people.

In this Northern Territory based Roundtable, we will take some time to orient you to its history, key features, and begin the conversation about what implementation looks like within your local and organisational context.

We invite you to join us for the three hour Roundtable on Thursday 20th April 2017, 11am to 2pm
Venue: Barbara James House, 9 Mirambeena Street, The Gardens
Lunch will be provided.

RSVP essential by Tuesday 18th April to strategy@lgbtihealth.org.au as spaces are limited. As of 18th April there are still some places available, so please contact Sally Morris if you are interested in attending.
