Orlando Vigil Alice Springs

The Alice Springs LGBTIQ community and broader community are deeply affected by the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. This brutal homophobic attack has shocked and united the LGBTIQ communities all over the world. In solidarity with the community in Orlando, the Alice Springs community will be holding a candlelight vigil to illuminate our sadness and unity for the victims, their families and friends affected by this tragedy.

Please come down to light a candle and write a message of love and support for the Orlando Community and all intersex, gender and sexuality diverse people who suffer oppression and discrimination worldwide.

Bring a candle to light and anything creative to express your solidarity ~ songs, flags, banners, paints, flowers ~ Starts at 5:00pm. Speakers from 5:30: Chansey Paech, Que Kenny and Carmen from Sisters and Brothers NT.

This will be a safe, peaceful space. Islamaphobia will not be tolerated. All people welcome.
